Storage Boxes and Knobs

This is my wonderful Expedit storage unit from Ikea and it can be used vertically or horizontally. Additionally you may purchase the quarter sub -divider, there is a wheel kit if the unit is used horizontally and basket or fabric storage bins.
 

I found some drawer/ cabinet knobs on sale and decided to add some interest to the plain fabric bins.
It doesn't get any easier than this...

Simply drill through the fabric and cardboard liner using a drill bit slightly smaller than the size of the knob screw. I thought it might require adding a wood backing for stability but, the liner was stiff enough.

Next screw the knob into and through the hole. Ideally it fits pretty snugly.

And voila- plain fabric bins now look much more interesting.

ps. I love drawer knobs and buy them whenever I find good ones on sale. I always find a use for them!
